In-process hole centering

Piston pin-hole boring machines represent the majority of the machine tools we build and sell worldwide. This has established DAMUS as a leader in this sector since its inception in 1983.

The use of the patented compensator device (DPU) allowed us to comply with the diameter’s repeatability tolerances, cylindricity and roughness in a single pass.

Afterward, the tool piloting through the DPU compensator allowed us to produce all the shapes other than cylindrical (trumpet, double trumpet, oval-elliptical).

Our spindles are hydrodynamic, with oil-lubricated ball bearings at controlled temperatures, or with permanent grease. Processing speed can reach over 6,000 rpm.
